AI Policy for Learn with Jyll

Generative AI tools are everywhere. Sometimes it's obvious when content has been (badly) created with AI, but sometimes it's much more subtle.

Here are the artificial intelligence policies I follow in my business. The tl;dr is that you pay me for my expertise, so my paid offers provideĀ my expertise only, not AI's "expertise."

Learn with Jyll courses

I do not use any artificial intelligence in the planning, creating or editing of my course materials. This means that all:

  • videos
  • cheat sheets
  • templates
  • other learning materials

are 100% created by me, using 100% information from my brain & experience, unless otherwise noted. For example, I may quote the Google Ads Help Center, and will make it clear if I'm doing so.Ā

I never use generative AI or any other third-party tools as part of this process.

My assistant sometimes helps with editing and posting of course materials. She does not create any materials for my courses.

AI use:Ā The videos in my courses are recorded in Loom, Streamyard or Riverside. These platforms provide an auto-generated transcript and auto-generated captions, which are created using AI. However, they are only transcribing what I say in the video, and not providing any AI-generated information.

Generative AI use:Ā Some of my course lessons will have an "AI-generated summary" below the video, to help you skim and determine if you'd like to watch the video. In these cases, the summary is created using Google's Gemini Advanced generative AI tool, and reviewed by me for accuracy. This will always be clearly labeled as "AI-generated" and is separate from the auto-generated transcript.

Inside Google Ads podcast

I do not use any artificial intelligence in the planning, scripting, recording or editing of my podcast.

This means that everything I say in my podcast isĀ my original idea orĀ based on my experience, unless otherwise noted. For example, I may quote the Google Ads Help Center, and will make it clear if I'm doing so.

I never use generative AI as part of this process.

Generative AI use:Ā IĀ use Google's Gemini Advanced generative AI tool to create the marketing materials for my Inside Google Ads podcast. Specifically, I use a custom Gem to write the:

  • episode description for podcast apps & YouTube
  • Instagram post
  • Threads post
  • video description for clips that I post on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, Pinterest
  • SEO title & description for theĀ episode page on my website

and then I edit the output as needed.

In each episode of Inside Google Ads, I answer three questions. I turn each of my responses into a blog post for the Google Ads blog on Learn with Jyll using a custom Gem. This Gem also writes the SEO title & description. I edit the output as needed, and put together an image in Canva, before posting the articles on my blog. For transparency, I have detailed the entire process in this video.

Google Ads coaching

AI use: I use Google Meet'sĀ built-in features to provide my coaching clients with a recording and transcript after our call. AI is used in this process to generate the transcript.

Generative AI use:Ā My assistant and I use Google's Gemini Advanced to summarize my coaching calls, and provide a list of follow-up items / action items as needed. This forms the basis of my follow-up email to clients, and I edit the output as needed before sending it to you.

Google AdsĀ audit

I do not use any artificial intelligence in the analysis, summary or recommendations of my Google Ads account audits.

While there are many beneficial third-party tools out there to assist with Google Ads audits, I do not use any of them. My audits are completed using my own Google Ads audit template, and my own analysis within the Google Ads interface. I write the scorecard and recommendations independently. I write and send the delivery email to my clients.
